The Perryman Theatre Company is proud to present a fresh, intimate and emotionally resonant production of Jason Robert Brown’s The Last Five Years, starring two of the country’s most dynamic musical theatre stars, Mackenzie Dunn (Waitress, Annie, Grease) and Javon King (Jesus Christ Superstar, Back To The Future, Hairspray).
Directed by Trudy Dunn, this powerful two hander is told through interwoven solo narratives and an unforgettable score. It follows the five year relationship between struggling actress Cathy and rising novelist Jamie.
The structure of this musical sets it apart; we follow Jamie’s story from the moment he meets Cathy, while Cathy’s story begins at the moment she knows Jamie has gone. With notable musical theatre tunes including Still Hurting, Moving Too Fast and Summer In Ohio, this production is one you don’t want to miss!
